These days introduce children to the outdoors through interactive, guided activities based around a local reservoir environment.

Participants will explore wildlife, learn about freshwater ecosystems, and take part in safe, supervised angling activities. The emphasis is on confidence-building, enjoyment, and learning through doing.

What to Expect

During the session, participants will take part in a variety of structured outdoor activities. Each activity is designed to be engaging, educational, and suitable for beginners. Drinks and snacks provided.

How the Session Works

Children are placed into small groups to ensure a safe and supportive experience. Participants rotate through three activity stations in groups of five and the session concludes with a shared, supervised fishing experience for all participants.

This structure ensures a balanced mix of learning, activity, and practical experience.

Safety & Supervision

Safety is central to every session.

  • Qualified first aiders are present at all times & multiple first aid kits are available on site. A defibrillator is available and checked before each session.

  • All our volunteers are vetted and safeguarding trained.

Family Participation

Parents and guardians are required to stay and are encouraged to participate. The programme is designed to support shared learning, helping families build confidence in exploring freshwater environments safely and responsibly together.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking is essential.

Tickets will be released 3-4 weeks ahead of each date. To register interest and to be emailed once tickets for a session are released, please contact us at info@sixmilewater.co.uk.

  • If you find you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can give your ticket to another child.
